It’s always easier to talk angrily than patiently but…..

Me: Noelleeeeee πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’ what happened?

Noelle: πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… (act Bodoh smiling)

Me: Tell mama what happened? πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

Noelle: It broke! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Me: Who broke it?

Noelle: Me! 😬😬😬

(Wa my girl so honest πŸ™„πŸ™„)

Me: How did it break? πŸ™„πŸ™„

Noelle: 😬😬😬😬 (no reply)

Me: You step on it?

Noelle: NoπŸ˜…πŸ˜… (still smiley face)

Me: Then?

Noelle: 😬😬😬 (no reply)

Me: πŸ˜’ You know hoh, if someone tell lies, mama will use the ‘spanar’ to remove the teeth πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ So, how did it break?

Noelle: Sit on it! 😬😬😬

Me: πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ ok, next time if anything spoilt please let me know and don’t just leave it like it is!

Noelle: Ok! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Me: Go dress up then! (She just finished her bath when I spoke to her)
For me, it is more important for her to tell me the truth than getting angry over the spoilt little cabinet! Hope she will still trust me (rather than fear me) to tell me anything if she runs into ‘trouble’ as she grows up!
And hope she learns that certain things cannot be sat on or stepped on or else it will break – though certain things can be fix in life!

Multipurpose pumpkin soup using soymaker

Air fry: diced pumpkin, diced carrot, diced tomato, diced celery and onions

Then pour all air fried ingredients into soymaker. Add in one small cup oats and water (min amount level or per liking). Press ‘thick soup’ and smooth pumpkin soup will be ready in 20-30 minutes.

We had it with pasta:

Water kefir and milk kefir class by Mandy LeongΒ

Today I took the opportunity of my first official time off from my babies (since the arrival of baby no.2) to attend this water kefir and milk kefir class –  something that I wanted to learn since I know about kefir’s healing for eczema

It was a four hours class and I would say never a moment I ‘fell bored/asleep’ (this is despite the hourly wakes last night since my baby wasn’t too well!)

Besides the detailed explanation given, the bubbly Mandy has made the class lively and interesting by giving her real life examples – on the benefits of both water kefir and milk kefir towards herself (and some of her students). We actually went in with (maybe) only 10% knowledge about water kefir and milk kefir but have so much to bring home – in fact, I guess we will need time to digest the information. Mandy is so informative and her knowledge on kefir is at her finger tips!
Not only notes were given, we were also provided with the ingredients (which include the ‘babies’ or kefir grains) and some tools to get started. This is because Mandy wants to ensure that our ‘getting started’ journey is easy. She also provides whatsapp support group after signing up for her class!
I can’t wait for my first harvest in 24 hours time! πŸ˜‚ I think I ‘crave’ the natural water kefir taste now! The first taste was totally ‘awesome’!
For more information on her class, contact Mandy via fb messenger at https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=547466597

Hideous faceΒ

This is not a rant but a fact of life that I would like to express.
There are many people (both males and females) that hide themselves behind the screen -not exposing about themselves much and appear hiding their activities. BUT at the same time they are stalking other people. It is fine that they are ‘stalking’ but when they find something that ‘interest’ them – they just message and try to find out more. And expect the person (us) to expose more information. Why should you be given free information, have you wondered? Seriously, why do you bother about what others doing in their respective lives while you couldn’t bother telling others what you are doing in your own life? Or only appearing when you intend to ‘show off’. What’s more annoying is the questioning appears to be teasing (like you are soooooo smart). Please don’t appear to be ‘concern’ when you are just pure nosy! Everyone has their own objective in life – and may be different from yours.
**And these people are usually ‘related’ by blood!

No.1 officially graduates from diaper

Noelle ‘earns’ her Cinderella! 😊😊😊
Though she isn’t the ‘earliest’, we are proud to say that she has officially graduated from (night) diaper at around 4y1m!
She actually ‘weaned’ from day diaper from 2.5yo; largely ‘trained’ by this humble mama (when suffering from Nikki’s morning sickness). There were on and off ‘accidents’ and some nights she asked for diaper free – where accidents did happen! We decided to put her on night diaper especially with the arrival of Nikki (as Noelle is completely handled by papa at night from then – and no way papa will wake her up to pee in wee hours since he himself had ‘difficulty’ wakingπŸ™„)!
While Noelle doesn’t take any milk to sleep, she has this urge to drink (ice) water before going to bed. We did not stop her too but just let her be (though we did hope she refrain from drinking too much) – because we do think she should keep hydrated whenever she wants).
We couldn’t deny that it does worry us whenever we find her night diaper was still soak. But we place our ‘faith’ on her and often remind her to wake papa up when she needs to pee at night. We even started the reward system by slowly increasing the number of days. She succeeded with the one week challenge back end of last year but thereafter had a hard time getting beyond one week. It was slightly after 4 yo that she started waking papa up by ‘papa I want to shh shh’ (that was also the point when we decided to stop counting on the dry night diapers). It did surprise us. We did put her on night diaper until the last piece of her xl size diaper and promised her a ‘larger’ reward when she finished the pack without accidents. We even told her to go on one week without diaper and the condition is no accident. And yeah, she has succeeded!
She definitely isn’t the first to graduate completely from diaper but we do believe she isn’t the last too. It ain’t a competition. Most importantly, she has achieved it and it was self led especially the night wakes!
^^Her initial ‘dream’ reward was ‘Fluttershy’ but then changed her mind to Cinderella! πŸ˜…

ABC minced pork porridge

Soak grains overnight – the grains I used include basmati rice grains, quinoa, millet, brown rice grains and barley

Minced pork marinated in sesame oil, pepper and liquid aminos (or soy sauce)

First boil carrot, tomato, onion, potato and mushroom in water until it becomes vegetables stock! (About 30 minutes)

Then add in the soaked grains and minced pork. Stir and let it boil for another 30-45 minutes depending on the consistency you want.

Scoop up the kids/babies portion. Ready to serve.

For adult, you can add in more sesame oil and soy sauce. Based on your liking, you can add in boiled and mashed salted egg plus century egg.

Sunday outing to Rabbit Fun Land, Lenggeng

Known this place since a year ago (previously located at Broga, now Lenggeng – google for location) but Noelle wasn’t interested last year.

Her interest with farm grew as she turned Funstatic Four (though still scady for certain animals).

It is a small farm that charges RM8 per person. You can buy feeds there but we did google that they were charging exorbitant feeds price so we brought our own carrots πŸ˜‚ which was allowed. We only bought the fish feeds there for RM3.

Besides rabbits, there were also πŸ‘ sheep, horse, pony, cow, monkeys, iguana, deers and goose.

While rabbits were free to roam, the others were in cage and we think those animals were poorly fed by the owners because they were so hungry.

The fish pond was ‘shocking’ πŸ˜‚ we couldn’t see the fish until we threw in the feeds – whereby the fishes would then jump up for the feeds.

We didn’t really mind the other animals (just felt pitiful) because Noelle is much interested with the rabbits more than any other animals. Both of them have a great time there- a small farm probably suitable for those below 6 years old.

Unbelievably we spent close to 1.5 hours there. It is definitely not comparable to Farm in The City (plus the price is so much cheaper); but it does give a village living feel.

We also stopped at Kajang for satay on our way there!

No.2 at 13.5 month old

I just turned a full time stay at home mum when Noelle was 13.5m. With Nikki staying with me 24/7 since birth, I actually know her better – but seriously I have so little time to jot down everything I notice about her!
Not a comparison but I just have to say Nikki is so much a happier baby (as some would say she had immediate and only access to mama and papa)! Mama’s look can immediately bring smiles and laughter on her face. Having said that, she is also papa’s little girl – who clings to papa on certain days/timing. At certain days, she cries when papa goes to work or put!
Nikki catches up quite fast – probably she had the chance to observe the everyday of her big sister! She understands simple instructions like putting the toys back. She is pretty cheeky and intelligently runs away from her sister when she knows something not right. She loves playing ‘catching’ and the ‘I am going to catch you’ could immediate tickles her. She has a lot more patience (for now).
She loves dancing by swinging her hands and arms plus butt! Besides ‘choy sun to’, her favourite songs include oppa Gangnam style and my little pony equestrian theme song. Her current favourite books are the tiny books that teaches the sounds of animals. She tried imitating the sounds and when we try to make those sounds, she will immediately bring along those books for us to read to her!
She has been a good baby since birth. Never a night she wakes in the middle of wee hours (cross fingers 🀐) wanting us to play with her. She just wakes to nurse and that is also by mama shifting her sides on the bed! I actually miss those early days when she swaddles and naps for 3-4 hours! πŸ˜‚
Again – I would say days are long but years are short. In a glimpse of an eye, she turns 13.5 months old! She is certainly an angel of our eyes! She is our happy fruit! And she is in the ‘cutest’ and ‘funniest’ phase now – that we should cherish each moment before she turns a terrible two in six months (more or less) time! πŸ™„πŸ˜…

Happy Chap Goh Mei 2017

We don’t really celebrate Chap Goh Mei but thought of bringing them out to watch lion 🦁 dance. The bonus was throwing of oranges into the pool. Thanks to Oasis Ara Damansara for organizing this event! 😘

We had dinner at home before we went out.

This year’s CNY actually has not big difference JUST that I didn’t have to sit and eat with some group of people at all. So it has become somehow peaceful in mind – as ‘not much’ thoughts running in mind of what people do and say in front of me. This actually breaks a decade of ‘tradition’. I just would like to keep in mind that it is not the tradition that matters BUT teaching the kids self respect is utmost important.

This wraps up CNY 2017! Hope everyone has a great year ahead!
